About the Album
Michael Hume wrote his first holiday song, The Anniversary Carol, at the age of 26, and that tune is one of the 13 songs described in fiction in his literary novel, The 95th Christmas. With the help of a world-class studio and some of the best musicians, singers, and sound engineers in the U.S., Michael produced his Christmas album as a companion to the book… though it’s a “stand-alone” favorite Christmas collection, too.
Welcome to The Christmas In Me, with the hope that it speaks to the Christmas in you. Of course, as Charles Dickens would suggest, we all keep Christmas in our own way… or we try to leave it alone. Either way, Michael believes it’s right there, inside us, all the time. He’s not one of those people who believes Christmas comes but once a year, nor even merely once a day!
For Michael, the central message of this musical album is expressed in the title track: “Christ is born inside me, each and every day, to heal what I’ve denied me, and to wash my sins away.” But in our world, Christmas has become this thing, this thing that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Christ. So Michael asserts that the Christmas inside us sometimes feels as different, from one moment to the next, as these 13 tunes are from one another.
Sometimes, it’s serious spiritual business, somber, like serving in The Army Of Christ, or like trudging through the desert like a Blessed Camel. Sometimes, we get caught up in the stress and whirl of the modern-day “Christmas,” and start looking forward to the end of the season – If Christmas Doesn’t Kill Me first!
We sometimes find ourselves laughing at the whole thing (Don’t Regift My Heart), or just having a barrel-of-monkeys good time with it (Jingle Bell Jungle Ball). But at all times, it’s there… the real Christmas… whether we’ve made room in our personal “inn” for it or not.
So Michael offers his album, The Christmas In Me, for your amusement, for your reflection, and for your enjoyment… and for a reminder to himself and to others that, as with this musical collection that’s been more than three decades in the making, everything begins and ends with a single word: Christmas.

Shipping/Delivery
During the months of November and December, all Firewords Media products will be shipped from Colorado within two (2) business days of purchase. We ship via United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), or Federal Express. (We can only use USPS for shipments to post office boxes.) We will make every effort to facilitate the arrival of your product(s) to you by December 24; you can help us do so by ordering early! During the months of January through October, all products will be shipped within ten (10) business days, and shipments may originate from an outside vendor.
